CLUB POLICIES

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE

Safety first, folks! When you arrive fashionably late, it throws off the coach's flow and distracts your fellow MAXIMUS trying to get in the zone. Plus, we can't guarantee you'll be all set for the class if you've missed out on any explanations or demos at the start and we want to make sure you have the best time ever. That's why we don't allow ANY late-comers after the club doors have shut. We recommend arriving 10 -15 minutes early, and we'll make sure you're fully geared up to make the most of your boxing time with us!

Oh, and if you're running late, drop us a line!!

12-HOUR CANCELLATION WINDOW

Went out last night and don’t think you’ll be able to make it through a sweaty workout tomorrow morning? We get it - life happens! Our cancellation window is 12 hours so we ask that you un-reserve your spot in the class before that window to not incur any penalties. All cancellations done within the 12-hour window will be considered late cancellations. This means that you lose your credit or get a $10 late-cancellation fee. If you simply don’t show up to class, that’s considered a no-show and you’ll lose your credit or get a $20 no-show fee.

REFUND POLICY

All sales are FINAL. We do not offer refunds on class packs or memberships. Please make sure to read the terms and conditions of each purchase option. Most class packs have a 1-year expiry date. Memberships will auto-renew monthly unless the client asks for a non-renewal of the membership BEFORE the next payment cycle.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Members can request to cancel their Monthly membership with 30-days notice after the first month of regular fees has been processed. Notice must be given in person at the gym, online via email to maximusboxing.to@gmail.com, or by phone. Cancellation of the membership requires completion of the “Membership Cancellation Form”, which should be requested via email. You can can find brief information on the MAXIMUS BOXING CLUB website: https://maximus-boxing.ca/membership-cancellation. The cancellation will take effect 30 days from the date the Club receives the completed “Membership Cancellation Form”. All payments due throughout the final 30 days will be collected and the member can continue to attend classes.

MEDICAL FREEZE AND INJURY POLICY

At Maximus Boxing Club, the health and safety of our members and athletes comes first. We understand that injuries and medical conditions may occasionally prevent a member from participating in training for an extended period.

Monthly memberships and training packages are normally non-refundable, and unused classes do not carry over beyond their applicable membership or package period. However, members who are unable to train due to a legitimate injury or medical condition may request a temporary medical freeze.

A medical freeze is subject to the following conditions:

  • The member, or a parent/guardian in the case of a minor, should notify Maximus Boxing Club as soon as reasonably possible after becoming unable to participate.
  • For an extended absence, Maximus Boxing Club may request reasonable documentation from a qualified healthcare professional confirming that the member should temporarily refrain from training. We do not require disclosure of a diagnosis or other unnecessary medical details.
  • If a medical freeze is approved, the member's remaining unused classes will be placed on hold rather than forfeited.
  • No additional membership payment will be required during the approved freeze period unless the member has separately agreed to an ongoing payment arrangement.
  • Once the member is medically able to return to boxing, the remaining frozen classes may be reactivated. The club may establish a reasonable period in which those classes must be used after reactivation.
  • Classes attended before the medical freeze remain counted as used and are not credited back.
  • A medical freeze does not normally result in a cash refund for classes already purchased. The purpose of the freeze is to preserve eligible unused training for the member's return.
  • Medical freezes are reviewed individually and must be approved by Maximus Boxing Club. Approval, duration, and reactivation arrangements may depend on the circumstances and the type of membership or package purchased.
  • Members should not return to training before it is safe to do so. Where appropriate, Maximus Boxing Club may request confirmation that the member is able to resume physical activity before returning to training.

Example: If a member purchases a 12-class monthly membership, attends 2 classes, and subsequently suffers an injury that prevents training for an extended period, Maximus Boxing Club may approve a medical freeze for the remaining 10 classes. Once the member is able to safely return, those remaining classes can be reactivated under the terms agreed upon with the club.

Important

A medical freeze is intended for injuries or medical circumstances that genuinely prevent participation in boxing training. It is not intended for vacations, work or school schedules, missed classes, changes in personal availability, or other non-medical absences.

Members or parents/guardians requesting a medical freeze should contact us directly at maximusboxing.to@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Maximus Boxing Club reserves the right to review medical-freeze requests individually and to update this policy when necessary.
